To this end, we consider the reference to absorb and digest the results of previous studies and knowledge with the masses of soil, with the soil, soil improvement, soil fertility experience of integration, in close connection with the production practices and soil occurred in Henan, development, distribution, classification, physical and chemical properties, production performance and other own characteristics, to proceed with the construction of soil database. In this paper, computer and geographic information system technology (MAPGIS), discussed the establishment of intermediate scale spatial soil database approach, combined with the national secondary soil survey, based on the results of previous build Henan mesoscale soil database, while the made a preliminary study of its application. The rise of GIS Land Suitability Evaluation bring technological innovations that will spatial data and attribute data together perfectly, and has a powerful spatial analysis capabilities, which makes this kind of land space of complex systems analysis, evaluation more scientific. Therefore, GIS technology in land suitability evaluation of rapid development, and has shown a strong momentum of development. Finally, an example of garlic in Zhongmu County, Henan Province, the soil using the established database to soil genus as the evaluation unit, using the comprehensive index method Zhongmu garlic for a simple land suitability evaluation, evaluation results and the actual production of garlic Zhongmu County more consistent description of the regional land suitability evaluation of soil based on GIS database has a good prospect.
