The Study of Campus Culture As the Resource of Teaching and Learning Chinese in High School

New course standard explicitly requires that the teacher of Chinese should pay enough attention to the development and exploitation of resources on courses; start various activities creatively; have students learn and practise Chinese in different occasions and improve the students’competence in Chinese in many ways. And high school campus is an important place where students study and live, so the campus culture in it can be the resource of Chinese teaching as a kind of environmental power on education. Chinese is the unity of humanism and the function of a tool. From the perspective of humanism, high school campus culture, just humanities itself, bears abundant topics, most of which are the same as or relevant with those reflected in education of Chinese. While in observance of the function of a tool, the application of Chinese characters in the midst of campus culture is actually a practice of Chinese which can be the resource of Chinese instrumental education in the teaching of Chinese, interactive relationship existing in between.Through the author’s investigation on a visit, it is found that high school campus culture will come across many embarrassing realities when playing the role of the resource of Chinese teaching indeed: errors appears in knowledge of function of campus culture; the construction of campus culture itself involves many problems; non mainstream culture in the society also causes disturbance to campus culture; the topic structure of humanities in campus culture is imbalanced; the application of Chinese is not standard and activities are in shortage. As an environmental educational power, campus culture has an enormous effect on students’development healthily. It is not only an important platform for practice of Chinese as important resource of the teaching of Chinese but also influences the teaching and learning quality of Chinese. Faced with this present situation, it is necessary to explore feasible and practical ways to ease the realistic contradictions.The dissertation here is based on campus culture in the current situation and stage. Aiming to promote the teaching of Chinese and improving campus culture to push forward the teaching of Chinese as the principle to start, the three aspects have been explored that is to optimize the topic structure of humanities and carriers like characters etc. in campus culture to create campus culture in feature and enrich the cultural activities on campus. So optimization of the cultural environment on campus and reasonable exploitation of campus culture, an environmental educational power as well as the resource of Chinese teaching can be taken advantage to model students’characters, cultivate students’sentiment, influence students’feelings of humanities and improve students’accomplishments of Chinese , so as to achieve the high quality of Chinese teaching.
