At present, the pollution and absence of water are the factors which restrict our development of production and economy. For GuangDong, it lost 1.2 billion yuan because water quality was foul at 2000. Domestic waste water is low thickness, simple component and large flux. If let it out straightly without disposed, not only pollutes the water system and adds the heavy burden on municipal pipeline about construction and service, but also wastes a lot of used water which can be reused. However, research on treatment and reuse of domestic waste water is few. So study on this field is necessary.We take the experimentation about which ABR (Amaerobic Baffed Reactor) deals with the domestic waste water. It is unseen. ABR is simpleness on constitution, has no use for gas-liquid-sludge separator. Activated sludge is mix well with waste water adequately because waste water flows up and down in the reactor. As a result, the impact of ABR is steady. Microorganism distributes reasonably and matches each other favorably of ABR. So the reactor will be discharged the redundant activated sludge when it has run a long time. Moreover, under the heavy running load, the ABR also can save the activated sludge effectively. For the domestic waste water, it make about 0.3 X 0.85=0.25m~3/d of each person. It looked cloudy, gray to black (decided by its composing) and smelt fierce. In the domestic waste water, the COD is about 400~900mg/L, BOD is 228—513 mg/L, NH3-N is 20~150 mg/L, TP is 2~35 mg/L, SS is 347-1578 mg/L. Because all of them are not strong, the domestic waste water is low thickness. To consider all of these factors, it may be perfect that ABR treats with the domestic waste water.The main conclusion from the experiment:1. It’s feasible on technology that ABR treats with the domestic waste water;2. From the text, the best parameters are HRT=30h, T=31~35 ℃ , N_v = 0.687kgCOD_Cr/(m~3d), pH=5~7.5;3. Under the best parameters, ratio of removal on COD_Cr BOD5 SS is 94.4%, 85.3%, 81.0% separately. Strength of disposed water accord with the standard and the result is satisfactory. 4. Ratio of removal on TN , TP is about 20% and 16% separately. That is not good. 5. The kinetic mode on suspendeddevelopment of ABR is:U _ Wo Se)_ k y1 ^i’S’i .
