English Introduction to Academic Paper and Its Writing

In the information age, science and technology develop rapidly and the competition in the field becomes more and more severe, so it is of great urgency to publicize the scientific research achievements accurately and efficiently.Academic paper, a frequently-used EST writing style, is an important way to show scientific achievements to the world. The English introduction of academic paper is the general sketch of the contents and the structure of the whole paper. It can do great favour to attract the attention of foreign scientists; thus, it is of great immediate significance for various domestic researchers in different fields. But to date, the linguistics description on specific styles of EST is inadequate. The present paper attempts to achieve a good study on some features and writing skills of English introduction. A total of 8 samples were selected from some important international scientific periodicals. The study has been focused on the linguistic features of introduction in vocabulary, grammar, rhetoric and discourse to get a detailed and empirical results, including the writing guidelines, 5 steps, 5A strategy and 4C principles provide scientific researchers with some theoretical guidance on what they should do in writing of English introduction for their research papers.
