Since the reform and opening-up, China’s national economy got a tremendous development. The rapid growth of economy improves the living standards and reduces poverty in many places, but this process is going with inequality of income distribution. Its direct performance is the keep-going growth of fiscal income and the durative widening of income gap between different residents. Especially the income gap between urban and rural residents has haven a negative impact on sustainable development and social stability. Therefore, it’s very important to deal with these problems properly.In this paper, the author takes the distribution structure of national income in Zhejiang province as research object. Basing on the related data got from Zhejiang Statistical Yearbook and independent survey, the author studies the distribution structure empirically, by the means of comparative analysis, trend analysis and regression analysis.This article is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is exordium, pointing out the background and meanings of the study, at the same time the author summarizes the existing literature about national income distribution, and gives the basic logic of this paper. The second chapter is the basic theories, introducing the theories of income distribution and equity, and clarifying some basic understanding. In chapter three, the author compares the distribution structure between Zhejiang and Shanghai, and the income gap between urban and rural residents respectively, then explains the empirical results. In the next chapter, the author establishes two multiple regression models including some factors, besides this gives out the explanations of each result. At last, analyzes the factors which have impact on distribution structure and put forwards suggestions of policy improvement.
