The Study of Formate Brines System of Novel Drilling Fluids Chemical Additive

Based on the basic theoretical research on formate brines at home and abroad,the main contents of this paper focus on researching the character of cesium formate that solution have high density, low viscosity and huge potentiality by development and application, the thermal decomposition of cesium formate was studied by TG-DTA, it indicates that Cs2CO3 affected on the direction of cesium formate decomposition products in some degree, and decreased its decomposition temperature. Besides, the peculiarity of formate brines solutions in pure and mixed system were studied, such as fundamental function and compatibility with polymeric additives, it can be provided that molar concentration of pure cesium formate solution with its viscosity is liner relation. In comparing with potassium formate and sodium formate, cesium formate solutions has better character that its viscosity change little with temperature ;the mixture of formate brines solution and polymeric additives show shear thinning property of Non-newtonian fluid; In mixed system between formate brines, the compatible rheology behavior with Xanthan gum (XC ) additives has different change according to different composing .This paper adopts weight-loss method to study the corrosion law of formate cesium solutions against metal materials, the result shows that saturated formate cesium solutions has good anti-corrosion and low rate against metal material under CO2 content terms.Linked with theoretical analysis, mechanism was discussed on properties of formats solution, which can be showed in applied fields.The reclamation of formate cesium was initially discussed in this paper.
