Accurate measurement of island project request on the information of island measured precisely, The GPS laser ranging and positioning system is studyed to survey on mobile carriers. The GPS laser ranging and positioning system mainly integrates GPS, laser range finder and three-dimension digital compass. It implements function of three-dimension spacial positioning very quickly and actively. And it is real-time work and available in a large range with non-prism assistants. This paper discusses in detail the design concept and its function of the system, together with the structure, characters and function of each module. This paper gives the data form and its reading methods. In addition, it discusses the communication technology among the three main modules and the computer. GPS laser ranging and positioning system can calculate the coordinates of observation point through smoothing pseudoranges differential positioning method with GPS data. Then this system calculates the object point through several algorithms, with laser ranging data and three-dimension digital compass data.The main researches of this paper are as follows:(1) The composition of GPS laser ranging and Positioning System, and the specific function of each module.(2) Data disposal of the system and pseudorange differential positioning method(3) Real-time quality control and disposal of real-time data(4) Comprehensive disposal of system data and precision analysisIn the end, summarizes the researcher of this paper. What is more, it analyses the shortages of the system from several aspects and brings forward the amendatory method.
