Adinandra nitida Merr.ex H.L.Li is a far-between wild tea with high officinal value. It has abundant of flavonoids, which is more than any other tea. Because it is usually used for disease, but there is a lack of scientific proof. So the in-depth research on flavonoids from Adinandra nitida Merr.ex H.L.Li has great exploitative potential and practical significance.This paper firstly presented the distillation technics, separation, purification and the structure analysis about the flavonoids. Then we investigated the physiological activation theory of the flavonoids, which include the anti-oxidation outside body, the anti-cancer outside body, the anti-oxidation inside body, the infection for the immune modulation.Using the combination of microwave and hydrolysis and enzymatic method could greatly shorten the distillation time, boost the efficiency and had a higher extraction rate compare with the solvent extraction.The isolation ability of AB-8 macroporous adsorption resin for total flavonoids was studied by examining the characteristics of adsorption and desorption. The optimum conditions of desorption were obtained as follows: the concentration of alcohol was 30%、 the speed of desorption was 2ml/min and the ratio of volume was 25:1. And it showed that with AB-8 the purity of the total flavonoids was 81%.The scavenging activities on OH ? of Fenton reaction and O2- ? produced by pyrogallic acid were studied. The result indicated that the flavonoids had a rather strong activity of scavenging free radical oxidated out of the body. The experiment of antitumor activities proved that the flavonoids had a rather strong activity of inhibiting the growth of the cells of Hela and Ec109, and it showed that at the dose of 50 μg/ml, the inhibitory ratio of the cell of Hela was 60% and the inhibitory ratio of the cell of ec109 was 35%.The experiment of mice proved that the flavonoids can enhance the activity of superoxide dismutase （SOD） in red blood cell and reduce the lipoperoxide （LPO） level in liver homogenate and had a good anti-oxidation function and enhancing the immune ability.
