The coal spontaneous combustion fire is one of main disasters in coal mine, it has seriously affected the safety of coal mine in production. The paper research is based on the actual situation of the Nantun coal mine, with the research of the soft coal seam spontaneous combustion preventing and controlling of the nine coal mining region, it closely revolves to the spontaneous combustion characteristic of soft coal seam synthesis surface of the nine coal mining region, analyzed soft coal seam spontaneous combustion rule, determined the coal seam spontaneous combustion dangerous region, studied the technology of preventing and controlling the coal seam spontaneous combustion fire. For the purpose of studying the essential technology to the soft coal seam spontaneous combustion fire, such as forecasting and preventing and controlling and so on, that ensuring soft coal seam safe mining of nine coal mining region in Nantun coal mine.The paper first used the home biggest coal spontaneous combustion laboratory bench, the experiment test has measured the speed of consuming oxygen, the exothermic intensity, the ignition time and so on the characteristic parameter indicating the coal spontaneous combustion degree. Making use of experimental device of adsorption and concentration for coal spontaneous combustion signal gases, analyses testing result of hydrocarbon signal gases that given off on different temperatoures condition of coal sample are concentrated and adsorpted both front and back, reaches adsorption and concentration law of hydrocarbon signal gases during the course coal spontaneous combustion, producing gas rate, and variaty relation of chain-alkane ratio after adsorption and concentration and coal temperature, defines
