"Crazy Man s Diary" is the first novel on writings in the vernacular of Chinese modern literature. It created a new situation in Chinese modem literature. From then on, the studied articles are various and the angles of view are also different. This thesis tries to comprehensively explain the novel on the basis of predecessors’ analysis articles."Crazy Man s Diary" is a novel in which a crazy man’s psychology was described. But why LuXun wrote a crazy man as the leading character in this novel? The reason will be explained in the first part of the thesis, hi the second part of the thesis, knowledge of psychiatry will be used to explain how the writer grasped the main feathers of mental patient to describe the psychology of "crazy man" in detail (for example harbor suspicions, vain hope bigotry and so on). Finally, "Crazy Man s Diary" is also an official denunciation of the enemy that opposed the etiquette and patriarchal system of feudal society. It will be explained in the third part how the writer combined the describing crazy speech with exposing the disadvantages of the etiquette and patriarchal system of feudal society. By the way, the third part of the thesis will be divided into three arrangements of ideas, hi the first arrangement, it will be simply provided information about the content of the etiquette and patriarchal system of feudal society. In the second arrangement, how the strict structure of patriarchy was reflected in "Crazy Man’s Diary" will be explained. In the third arrangement, the deep significance of the novel will be explained.
