With the integration of data, video and voice information and other network technologies emerge and the growing popularity of Internet applications , distance learning (Teaching and Learning at Distance) was a great development , distance education is rapidly into the social , educational institutions has become an important form one of its most important feature is the remote and interactive . While China's online education has evolved over the years , but the system is still relatively poor interactivity , online Q \u0026 A, online discussion mainly pictures, text -based, high-tech means of video as a little supplement it , even if some of the video Networking Academy content is also reflected in the non- real-time multi- on -demand . In distance education to build face to face teaching methods , the most direct encounter technical problems is how to achieve the WAN for audio and video broadcast capabilities. This thesis is to study the design and development of a distance education system in the audiovisual broadcast live server software , so that it can realize real-time distance learning process by the teacher lectures, live broadcast to students, achieving student interaction. This paper describes the history of the development of distance education system , status quo and live server software development background, purpose and meaning , and then introduced the paper with the relevant technical - technical principles streaming media , P2P technology. After elaborated system processes and basic design concepts and program modules design process. Including how to divide the system module , how to define the interface between the modules , the transmission of information between modules , and data structure, module structure specifically designed to provide the system with the client interface / the message specification. According to audiovisual broadcasting overall demand for distance education system , this system can achieve complete two main functions: sound and image broadcasting , server and client interaction ( teacher-student interaction ) and three categories of sound and image broadcasting : Acquisition webcam, screen capture , broadcasting PPT.
