In the engineering building , the limestone soil grassroots has higher strength and better water stability , cost and economic advantages in the highway subbase widely used . But for special soil lime stabilization (such as expansive soils ) theory is not yet complete , the practical application of engineering still imperfect place . This thesis focuses on expansive soil encountered a large area of Ninghuai highway construction , first of all from the point of view of the expansive soil hazards on construction projects , analysis of expansive soil engineering properties , with expansive soil as subgrade construction materials exist a major problem. Combined with the concrete practice of Ninghuai highway construction , Huaian City in Ninghuai Expressway expansive soil as an object is selected , a series of laboratory experiments by prime soil and modified soil , combined with the nature of the modified soil engineering test data , the system engineering application prospect of lime as the expansion of land reform materials . Specific work as follows : ( 1 ) sets out the nature of undisturbed expansive soil engineering properties and Lime modified expansive soil changes , including expansive soil type of discrimination , different compaction methods ( dry and wet ) lime modified soil maximum dry density and optimum moisture content . ( 2) study the expansive soil add lime modified Dutch expansion rate , expansion force , no variation of unconfined compressive strength and other indicators . ( 3 ) combined with the climatic conditions and construction conditions , lime modified for the case of low temperature expansion of the changing nature of the soil , to explore the effect of hypothermia on the lime and soil . (4) Preparation of modified soil remodeling soil samples , the relationship between stress and strain analysis, modified soil constitutive relation , a preliminary discussion on the characteristics of the soil . ( 5) refer to the results of previous studies , some to be taken into account in the construction of concrete construction technology proposed for the expansion of the deficiencies of the soil in highway subgrade processing applications and problems to be solved . I believe that this thesis has some theoretical value and guiding role to carry out further research and application of lime-stabilized expansive soils .
