Canoeing is one of the Olympic Game events. Chinese outstanding double canoeing players Meng Guanliang and Yang Wenjun get a gold medal in the Athens Olympic Game. It is a historicity breakthrough of canoeing events in the Olympic Game. But there is still a big gap between our country’s actual strength and world power. Paddling skill per stroke is the pacing factor for the canoeing events to get victory.The studies of this article that deal with fine sportsmen, who are qualifier for final A in the 10th national game. And this article also consults fine sportsman who gets good result in the Duisburg world cup. Adapting SIMI MOTION sports analysis system to analyze paddling skills. Following are the result of the research. 1、 Paddling RhythmThe difference of time proportion of catching phase between Chinese single canoeing(C-1) player and foreign single canoeing player is not significant (p>0.05). When it comes to the time proportion of drive phase and recovery phase, there’s significant difference (p<0.05). Double canoeing players’ (C-2) circumstances are very alike with C-1. The time proportion of drive phase of our country’s canoeists’ is much smaller, and the time proportion of recovery phase is much larger.From on the way to the final spurt, the tendency of time proportion of catching phase and drive phase is becoming larger, the time proportion of recovery phase is becoming smaller.The action of C-2’s first position player and the second position player is with high consistency. The two positions’ players have no sequence on the water entry point and water extra point. But the second position player reaches the perpendicular point a little earlier than the first position player. The first position player’s time proportion of catching phase is larger than the second position player’s, time proportion of drive phase is smaller than the second position player’s, time proportion of recovery phase is larger than the second position player’s. 2、 Paddling Rhythm and Distance Per StrokeFrom on the way to the final spurt, C-1’s time proportion of drive phase is always proportional
