Sand Production Prediction and Sandcontrol Technique in Dongxin Oil Region

Sand production is that sand carried by the fluid into oil wells in oilproduction, influencing the production of the oil well directly. And it is one of the difficult problems to dispose in oil production. Dongxin oil region includes Dongxin, Yongan, LiXincun, GuangLi oil field and so on with the properties of complex geological structures, many types of reservoir, loose cementation in part reservoirs, weak strength of cementing material and poor compaction, and sand production is common. According to the development characteristics of Dongxin oilregion, this paper collected and ordered the influencing factors, got statistics of sand production reasons from geology parameters and development parameters, analyzed relevant factors and proposed main mechanism and rule of sand production.In view of sand production influenced by many factors, support vector machine method was adopted to predict sand production and sand production prediction model was established. Taking wells in Ying-13 block as training samples and wells in Yong-66 block as testing samples, model relevant to sand production condition and factors was established through study. Model parameters were optimazied and the best sanding prediction model with support vector machine method was determined. Results indicated that the model established by support vector machine method is easy, fast and accurate which provided a new way for sanding prediction.Conbined with field conditions of Dongxin oil region, a practical and reliable sanding prediction software system was developed based SQL Server database and C# language platform. The system can predict sand production with the concise GUI interface. The field application results indicated that the convenient and reliable system can provide guidelines to sandcontrol measurements which was highly valuable in application.Responding sandcontrol technologies were optimized according to sanding properties, liquid character and energy condition in Dongxin shallow formation which made the measuremtns more precise. The main technolgies included gravel packing mechanical sandcontrol and chemical sand consolidation sancontrol which achieved good results in the field application. Based on sanding rule, mechanism, prediction research and chief problems of sandcontrol in Dongxin oil region at present, corresponding improvements were proposed.
