The size of the pile foundation depends on the pile side , the size of the pile tip resistance . Pile side and tip resistance and pile side pile end soil engineering properties . Studies have shown that : Base - grouting to improve the pile side , the pile end engineering properties of soil in the most economical , effective way . This article relying on the Hangzhou Bay Bridge Ⅰ the standard Large Stake bottom grouting engineering instance , conducted a comprehensive analysis of their the bearing properties after grouting , the results show that the substantial increase in large diameter pile grouting pile bottom in shallow beach areas bearing capacity, settlement effectively reduce the pile bottom . Therefore , through the bottom of the pile grouting technology can reduce the length of the pile , and thus reduce the engineering investment ; same time , the test uses a self-balancing load technology , mechatronics design , all automatic data acquisition , simple to operate , saving investment, broad application prospects .
