Auto-collimator is a measuring and testing instrument in common use,which utilizes the optics principle of auto-collimation and can be used for measuring small angle or into which can be converted . It is commomly used in machine manufactory,shipbuilding,aerospace and aviation and metric measurement.It is the necessary instrument in the trade such as precise measurement and precise production.In order to resolve the problem at present that most of the domestic auto-collimators are just competent for only one dimensional angle with small measuring scope and low intelligence.And those instruments most too heavy to take to special working site.This paper is mainly about designing a compact high precision auto-collimator.We designed the auto-collimator system of dual linear-array CCD,and use DSP to accomplish data acquiring and processing.The research work mainly about designation,installation,debug and final verification of optical system,hardware sircuit,software system.In hardware circuit,a method to design the drivers of dual linear CCD with CPLD is put forward.The output signal of CCD is conditioned and dual channel hign speed data acquisition based DSP is designed . According to practical measure,this compact auto-collimator system is proved true.In software,the method of locat the image line on CCD is introduced.Finally we choose centroid algorithm to locat the image line.In this way the system can achieve subdivision of subpixel.After experiment,this auto-collimatic system realizes to measure small angle on the two dimensional and proves the feasibility of the auto-collimatic system based DSP.This paper make good preparation for the further research on compact hign precision and wide measurement scope auto-collimator.
