Of Guangzhou City,Buddha Secondary School of Taekwondo to carry out the Survey Research

Taekwondo, as a long-standing national sport, has multi-faceted, multi-level educational functions which can promote the primary and secondary school moral and cultural qualities, intellectual development, physical and mental qualities. By doing this, it also has a promoting effect on the reform of education and will be of great significance in comprehensive development of school sports.In recent years, Guangzhou nine Buddhist Secondary School which is the represent of middle schools of Guangzhou has joined many levels of Taekwondo competition and got good score. Beginning from the development, this paper studied and researched the students, teacher team and Taekwondo equipment in school. Through literature, questionnaires, expert visits, and mathematical statistics etc, the author found some problems in taekwondo curriculums of nine Buddha Secondary School. After summarizing the problems, the author proposes the countermeasure conclusions on how to strengthen taekwondo development, enhance the students’ physical and will quality, in middle school physical education curriculum have a more reasonable set of Taekwondo, and let more students participate in Taekwondo in order to perfect the theory system and exert skill learning.Research shows:Taekwondo has got lots of influence in this school. One fourth of students in this school know something about Taekwondo. One third of students get interest about Taekwondo. Almost all of students have taken in Taekwondo sports. But, different grade gets different levels. Students’ motivation of Taekwondo sport is enhancing constitution and physical and mental qualities. leg technique and Poomsae is the most like content. Lack of Taekwondo teacher and equipment is bad for Taekwondo development of this school.After analyzing the research on Taekwondo in Nine Buddha Secondary School, the author will promote some reference for the popularization of Taekwondo in secondary schools in Guangzhou:using modernize equipment to improve education quality; enriching Taekwondo content to improve student interesting; taking Taekwondo competition to enhance experience; enforcing ability of teacher to construct teacher team; reform Taekwondo sport configuration to develop Taekwondo sports, etc.
