From Virtual Community to the Real Life: How the Star Stautus Influence People’s Social Capital

Virtual community is a social aggregates on the Internet , it is based on a certain number of long-term public discussion . In recent years, with the rapid increase in our virtual community , a growing number of researchers have launched a virtual community research . The value of this article is to provide a comprehensive perspective , based on the communication point of view , as the Internet is a new medium , as the online virtual community platform pick in essence , from the sociological study of an interpersonal exchanges and exchanges the sociology which interpersonal problems are most concerned about which melt into the virtual community to use the results of the observation . The results verify the initial hypothesis of the researchers : virtual communities \the degree of users , occupy a better position in the social network of the reality groups , has a more personal social capital . This paper also discusses several factors to become a virtual community star , found that the stronger the willingness to share information on the Internet , the higher the degree of trust in online exchanges , the more likely it is to become the star of the spread of the virtual community . Not only the system uses empirical communication research methods , social network analysis derived from the analysis of the sociology and included in the analysis of virtual communities spread star and defined , and is a useful attempt and innovation . Finally, a detailed summary of the limitations of this study , I hope more follow - up studies are needed to improve the theoretical construct of virtual communities and social capital research , and the use of more academic strength , the development of a stable and effective methods of measurement , to avoid similar study data acquisition of difficult .
