Objective: Preparation of domestic mineral trioxide polymer ( MTA ) , and its characterization and biocompatibility studies to determine domestic MTA preparation method , to determine that the composite materials it meets the appropriate bio - security standards , at the same time on the its main ingredient , content and cell toxicity and import the MTA compared to provide a theoretical basis for the future product improvement , animal experiments and clinical studies . Methods : scanning electron microscopy ( SEM ) , X -ray diffraction analysis ( XRD ) , X -ray fluorescence analysis ( XRF ) the domestic MTA new material characterization ; cytotoxicity test (MTT test ) to detect cell proliferation rate of the material cytotoxic classification evaluation ; was observed by SEM adhesion and proliferation of cells cultured in vitro on the material surface . Results : 1 , SEM observation of the the MTA powder made ??to render a multi-gap , uneven , slightly larger particles are dispersed in the morphology between the small particles . To shows tricalcium silicate 3CaO SiO , , 2 < / sub > , bismuth oxide Bi 2 O 3 and dicalcium silicate 2CaO SiO by XRD 2 < / sub > 3 kinds of objects relative to the most important ingredient . By XRF shows the main content of the domestic MTA : 18.16952% of bismuth oxide ; the tricalcium silicate 60.85732% ; the dicalcium silicate 19.70331% ; the tricalcium aluminate 0.75656% ; tetracalcium calcium 1.7641% . 2 MTT results showed that domestic the MTA and imported MTA two sets of data significantly different ( p lt ; 0.05 ) , but the cytotoxicity are one that is non-toxic . 3 A osteogenic cells ( MG - 63 ) in the surface of the material having a good cell spreading morphology can completely spreading and proliferation . Conclusion: 1 , mixed by ball milling with long sintering method can be successfully prepared domestic MTA showed good water hard and solidification homogeneity . 2, SEM, XRD, XRF analysis shows that the morphology of the domestic MTA , the main ingredient and content similar to the imported MTA material . Domestic MTA cells co-cultured showed good biocompatibility .
