This paper attempts to identify the cultural differences in Chinese and Anglo-American countries , from the classification of metaphor and its concrete manifestation in two languages, English and Chinese , and to compare the different language and cultural phenomenon metaphor . Formed by the difference of the historical origins and geographical environment , national traditions , natural phenomena , religion , color, concepts , concepts of animals and plants , mythology, allusions, customs, values ??and ways of thinking to identify similarities and differences in the English language metaphor cultural differences . Through these cultural differences to understand the role and significance of the metaphor in the Chinese-English two languages ??, in order to better understand the different personality and common culture conducive to the students of Anglo - American countries, a better understanding of the Chinese culture in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language .
