The Design and Performance Simulation of External Valve Small Displacement Pump

Now the oil exploitation is in the midst-finial moment, the oil supply capacity is declining and the number of low-yield wells is increasing. As the generated quantity of the large displacement rod pump applied in the oil field is larger and the oil wells have been insufficient for the liquid oil, which makes the problems of the rod oil pump system, including low efficiency, energy consumption, is more and more obvious. So the design and development of the new small-displacement pump is important to exploit the low-yield oil wells of oil fields efficiently.Firstly, based on the summary of the domestic oil exploitation technology and the development trend of pump rod, the overall design of the external valve small-displacement pump has been carried out. The force analysis of the key components of the pump barrel and plunger pumps has been carried out to supply the base for the structural design and strength check of the pump.Secondly, according to the working principle of the new pump, the structural design of the pump has been carried out. The strength check of the pump barrel and the plunger has been carried out, and the results show that wall thickness of the plunger and pump barrel has meet the strength requirements. The static deformation of the elastic sleeve inside the pump barrel seal paragraph under inside and outside pressure difference was simulated by the finite element software ANSYS. According to the maximum deformation 0.126mm, the gap value of the pump barrel and plunger was determined. And the three-dimensional modeling and virtual assembly was carried out by UG to detect the interference of the various parts.Lastly, the simulation method has been adopted to analyze the overall performance of the new pump applied in low-yield wells and pump efficiency changes with the pump suction parameters. The working process of the standard pump has been simulated by the finite element software Fluent. The results of the simulation show that under of two sets parameters error compared with the actual pump efficiency were 9.7% and 2.8%,which proves the simulation method is accurate to guarantee the correctness of the pump efficiency pump by the simulation method. Second, the working process of the new pump has been simulated, the results show that the pump efficiency value of the new pump has been significantly improved compared with the standard the pump efficiency value. And the rule of different strokes, stroke times and sinking change affect on the pump efficiency of the new pump was obtained.In this paper, a new type of small-displacement pump has been designed, the efficiency value simulation of the pump was carried out. And efficiency value simulation has been compared with a standard the efficiency value, the results show the pump efficiency of the new pump has been improved significantly. This is important to reducing production cost and increase exploitation efficiency of low-yield wells.
