In this thesis, the United Kingdom and the United States, for example, an attempt to review and summarize the current basic education, civic education curriculum reform and development of general trends and typical characteristics, and put forward some constructive suggestions for the reform of our courses. The first clarify the four concepts of \civic education curriculum framework, to ensure that further study will not cause unnecessary misunderstandings due to differences in conceptual understanding. On this basis, the paper in the curriculum standards in the United States and the United Kingdom, for example, to carry out a study for the implementation of the civic education curriculum mode. In this section, the author describes the objectives, content, and implementation methods embodied in the curriculum standards of the citizens of the two countries' education courses, and from the inductive analysis of the basic characteristics of civic education programs in these three areas. The third section describes the Social Studies in the United States, as the situation of the main subjects of the implementation of the civic education curriculum. Thesis social studies textbooks published in four major U.S. textbook publishing company, for example, the analysis of the salient features of these textbook content organization and preparation of design and \case studies. The last part of the thesis is the analysis of the history and current status of the implementation of the civic education curriculum.
