High liquid limit clay as a highway embankment , its strength and stability can not meet the engineering requirements. Requirements for the improvement of the filling material analysis to filter the a low admixture site conditions , and to study in this article in accordance with the relevant technical specifications , determine a new standard for determining soil strength . In this regard there is no uniform standard, large number of studies in the past just to stay in the level of qualitative analysis . In this paper, the fractal theory as an effective solution to the quantification of soil micro- structure breaking point . Powerful computer image processing functions, digital images obtained by scanning electron microscopy , digital image processing , which is a focus of this topic . Through this approach, basically to find out the reinforced soil micro - structural features of the calculated the reinforced soil instars soil microstructure quantitative parameter - fractal dimension . Further analysis of the age , dimension and intensity of the dimension of the corresponding fitting curve fitting formula . Thus corresponding microscopic interpretation of macroscopic properties of the stabilized soil , associated with conventional soil physical property , the fractal dimension interpretation of soil physical properties is reliable . Eventually came to the conclusion used in the the highway roadbed treatment of engineering practice .
