In this study, questionnaires, interviews and study reading weekly and other methods of strategy training on improving college English reading autonomous role of the research , the conclusions show strategy training by changing students' reading attitudes and self- reading ability in English reading autonomy significant role in promoting. This study was designed 14-week experiment , designed to explore strategies to improve English Reading Training on the validity of autonomy . Experimental subjects were 75 non-English majors in the experimental class of 40 people , 35 control classes , two classes taught by the same teacher . Experimental Procedure of curricular and extra-curricular two parts. For strategic training curricular , extracurricular read the contract signed with the students and ask students to do the weekly reading log or record of its strategic expansion in the use of outside reading and independent reading progress of the case . Research methods , including quantitative and qualitative analysis . Experiments before and after the experiment subjects were reading strategy use conditions and autonomy questionnaire survey collected data using SPSS statistical software for quantitative analysis . End of the experiment , the experimental classes conducted interviews with some of the students , on this basis, combined with the students' reading logs or read weekly analyzed qualitatively . The results show that strategy training helps to improve students ' English reading autonomy and the frequency of use of reading strategies . But the study also showed that , although the students improve their reading strategy training to improve the autonomy to be effective, but this method requires further improvement. Therefore recommended that English teachers training college English reading autonomy , should be taken into account the actual situation of teaching , in order to better guide the students to engage in independent reading . This paper is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the research background, purpose and meaning. The second part reviews at home and abroad to cultivate learning autonomy, independent reading strategy training and related issues such as historical research and the status quo. The third part introduces the experimental procedure in this study , data collection and specific method of analysis. The fourth part of the detailed analysis of the experimental results and discussion . The fifth part of this study are summarized , draw conclusions and pedagogical implications , pointing out the limitations of this study and make recommendations .
