The international financial liberalization means a process and an overall trend to realize the international financial integration by releasing various financial regulations as well as financial innovation. The serious economic depression in the 1930’ s, having rolled up the western world, led to the reconstitution of the western financial system, and almost every country built financial system which was characterized by tight regulations and specialization as a kind of measure against crisis to satisfy the need of the development of the capitalist economies. After the world war II the huge change has taken place with the world economic and financial situation, and the extent of the production and finance internationalization has been deepening, and the financial innovation wave has been surging forward with great momentum, which has formed the trend of the financial liberalization of the whole world. China has being melted into the world economic system since the open door policy was issued, and the process of the financial liberalization has being gradually quickened. By comparing the financial liberalization of the developed countries and that of the developing countries, and by analyzing the concrete present situation in China, this thesis studies Chinese financial industry’ s competitive tactics on the background of the financial liberalization.The first chapter begins with the historical background and the basic theory from the financial liberalization, compares the related concepts of the financial liberalization such as the financial deepening, the financial marketization and the trade liberalization in financial services, and the influence of thefinancial liberalization on the financial industry’ s competition are expound.The second chapter analyzes the reasons of the development of the financial liberalization, then expounds and compares the course of the financial liberalization in the advanced countries and the developing countries respectively.The third chapter analyzes Chinese financial liberalization in all aspects, investigates the deep background, the course, the present situation and characters that Chinese financial liberalization has been given rise to. The forth chapter discusses that China’ s entering WTO may deepen the process of Chinese financial liberalization, which will lead to stronger competitive environment in the financial industry. On the base of synthesizing the above-discussed chapters, the fifth chapter puts forward some advices on the competitive tactics for Chinese financial industry.
