The development of higher vocational talent, more defined, not only have a certain expertise, should also have the self-learning ability and intercultural communicative competence. Thus improving vocational English teaching, to adapt them to the overall objective of personnel training, challenges facing vocational English teaching. Higher vocational training of many talents, most can not learn the language knowledge and specific practical application link. Vocational English Teaching and actively explore and reform a top priority. This study describes the characteristics of the theory of the English for Specific Purposes (ESP), scholars research position, analysis of the current vocational English teaching common problem, proposed the use of English teaching English for Specific Purposes theoretical guidance feasibility and complies with the requirements of the theory of English for Specific Purposes English teaching reform to explore, seek to improve the vocational English teaching more effective way. In this thesis, a total of five parts, the main contents are as follows: The first part is the introduction, the research background, research, research methods, some of the key concepts involved herein defined and involved is elaborate in order to better lay the foundation for the main part of the discussion. The second part is the common problems of English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges, this part of Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, two vocational colleges teachers, student questionnaires and interviews were analyzed survey data from the teaching objectives, teaching materials, teaching methods, aspects of the student base and faculty research of the main problems in English teaching in China. The third part is the use of English teaching English for Specific Purposes theoretical guidance feasibility analysis to meet the requirements of the Higher Vocational English Teaching, discussed the principle of the teaching of English for Specific Purposes, English for Specific Purposes teaching philosophy and vocational English training objectives, vocational students with the basis of accepted English for Specific Purposes education, vocational teachers have the potential of teachers of English for Specific Purposes, ESP in Higher Vocational English Teaching analysis, feasibility conclusions. The fourth part is based on the theory of English for Specific Purposes English teaching reform practice, based on \classroom teaching, school campus training combine to improve students' proficiency in English, the establishment of a scientific and reasonable evaluation and assessment system, joint schools and enterprises to strengthen the building of the faculty six specific analysis and argument. The English teaching combined with the professional needs to help students obtain the required English proficiency in the future. The fifth part is the revelation of English for Specific Purposes theory of English teaching. Mainly including the transformation of the concept of English teaching, formation of an independent vocational English teaching evaluation criteria, the construction of vocational teachers to arouse the attention of the government and the universities.
