Classical poetry is a treasure of Chinese literature, is the essence of the Chinese language is the carrier of China's long history and culture. And the image can be said to be the soul of classical poetry, the large number of applications in classical poetry makes classical poetry has a unique charm. The image is created by the poet through art thinking profound implication of emotional carrier, is able to arouse the reader to imagine and Legend of a word, phrase, or sentence formed. It can be said that the image is the key to our interpretation of classical poetry. It is because of the image such an important role in Chinese classical poems, many Chinese and foreign translators and scholars tireless input to the image of the practice of translation and research, trying to find the correct strategy to convey Classical Poetry target language so readers can get and source language readers enjoy the arts and to be able to feel the unique charm of classical poetry. This article is based on the Chinese and foreign imagery theory, the combination of Chinese and foreign translators and scholars to translate the results of research from the perspective of images poetry, the importance of the English Translation of Chinese Classical Poetry Translation translation strategies and guidelines relative system. And conducting research at the same time, summed up insurmountable obstacles in the image of the conversion process, under the guidance of the existing translation strategy and pointed out the direction for further research. Just as the soul of the poetry of imagery, imagery to convey there will be a very important significance. Classical Chinese poetry in many vivid imagery to attract Chinese and foreign scholars and translators engaged in the exploration and practice of translation theory. This paper consists of six chapters. The first chapter is an introduction.
