Free at right angles to the cutting process on the basis of the analysis , a detailed analysis of two - dimensional metal at right angles to the cutting process , the use of the basic idea of the finite element , cutting at right angles to the finite element theory . By numerical simulation technology , based on the finite element software ANSYS platform , at right angles to the cutting process ( from the tool and the workpiece come into contact with the formation of shear angle ) accurate and vivid simulation . With this simulation techniques , finite element analysis and calculation by the cermet different geometric angles to achieve a series of simulation of the cutting process under different cutting conditions , the tool in the analysis of the parameters of different geometric angles stress distribution , selecting appropriate optimization criteria , design more reasonable tool and geometrical parameters . Reasonable according to the selected tool structure and geometric parameters , under the conditions of the type of cutting tool , cutting experiments were used tool life , cutting forces standard, based on optimization techniques for the cutting of the metal cutting process optimization .
