Recent years, with rapid development of embedded technology, embedded application is becoming research hotspots and a new economic growth point on IT industry. This paper is set in railway signal equipment room Control system of environmental monitoring and embedded technology is used to Control system of environmental monitoring. The Control system of environmental monitoring being designed in the paper monitors temperature and humidity in real-time in railway signal equipment room, in addition, the system can control air conditioner to regulate the temperature and humidity whenever necessary,moreover, the system involves entrance guard alarm、waterlogging alarm、smoke alarm and so on, achieving all-around monitoring for the room.The system designed by this paper is capable of providing safeguard for all kinds of electric installation in the railway signal equipment room, which is very significant for safe railway operation.This paper advances a solution for railway signal equipment room Control system of environmental monitoring with ARM9/VxWorks platform. The system in this paper has three layer constructions:Central monitor--ARM control layer--data acquisition and air conditioner controlling module.Software and hardware design on ARM control layer is the main research in this paper. Via RS485 bus, ARM Control layer gets environmental monitoring data from data acquisition module by polling mode and makes a sorting storage for data. Hardware design on ARM control layer involves SDRAM module、Flash module、RS485 module、Ethernet communication module、JTAG module and so on. After hardware circuit test of ARM board, the paper finishes software design of ARM control layer, which involves porting of VxWorks5.5 onto AT91RM9200、Ethernet chip driver、RS485 driver、LED driver and correlative application program. Data acquisition and air conditioner controlling module makes use of all kinds of advanced sensors to obtain environment data by distributed acquisition. By Figure wave filtering and Constitute calculation technology, it is effective to improve Measure accuracy for data acquisition, besides, it also can control Air-conditioning to adjust temperature on line. Central monitor accomplishes environmental monitoring information real-time display、alarm prompting message and the storage of history data. Through Ethernet to connect ARM control layer, central monitor send command to inquire data from ARM control layer, which forms C/S mode. Using C# and SQL server database technology to program, the system has user friendly interface and is easy to operate.Through experiment test, Railway signal equipment room Control system of environmental monitoring being designed in this paper reach expectation effect, central monitor can intensively control environmental monitoring for several equipment rooms, which is to reduce power of work and increase work efficiency greatly. Finally, the paper summarizes the system and indicates the deficiencies and how to improve it.
