Travelling crane is a indispensable equipment to convey huge goods, it can be used in metallurgy, construction, automobile, chemical industry and dock to carry, convey, load and fix kinds of goods. Travelling crane may overload and work under atrocious circumstance such as heavy dust or high temperature. Because of some factors the internal framework of traveling may be destroyed when it working. So it is always the main research aspect of industry safety to inspect the main girder.The paper proposes a kind of survey method to reveal traveling crane main girder condition through inspect the change of frequency before and after the damage. The PVDF materials have the advantages of good piezoelectricity, low impedance and wide frequency response, and can be used in all kinds of factual shake measurement. The paper adopts PVDF piezoelectricity pellicle and based on its piezoelectricity made a PVDF piezoelectricity pellicle sensor. It can be fixed on main girder of traveling crane to inspect shake response prompt by white noise, and then gain inherence frequency of traveling crane. Based on the need of experience of the paper, a signal configure system correspondence to the sensor also be build. The data from PVDF piezoelectricity pellicle sensor are gain by data collection card and connect to computer through USB interface, the data can be calculated and reveal through software. Finally the paper validates the accuracy and feasibility of traveling crane survey method through experience of PVDF piezoelectricity pellicle sensor.
