According to the practical requirement of a university’s IPTV System, this paper discussed how to assure operational IPTV service in authentication and authorization aspects, and a campus IPTV authorization and authentication sub-system was designed and implemented.The precise identity authentication and business authorization are solved by using the experience of Conditional Access System for Digital Television, and by combination of the Helix Server Authentication function the stealing-link problem is solved effectively, which put the campus IPTV system in a much safer side.The campus IPTV authentication Sub-system is implemented with Web Services architecture developed on Neusoft Unieap platform. The identity authentication between service user and provider was achieved by apache axis handler mechanism to ensure the safety of authentication sub-system. The test result show that the system meets the demands of uniform authorization and access control, possesses the merits of good security, high flexible and scalable. Relevant authentication puts forwards before the campus IPTV achieving the operational goal, the results have some reference values.
