Relational database is currently the most commonly used database in large companies. Based on the application model of the relational database, a data application model between the application of data and the database is proposed. A method is described in detail on how to publish the data in the current large relational database as service objects. This method has been practiced in large database of oilfield development in petroleum exploration, which proved to be effective.The oil-development database in Shengli oilfield is huge and complicated, which greatly lowers the efficiency of data searching. This thesis proposed a B/A/S three-tier architecture in order to effectively publish all kinds of information in the oil-development database through browser. An object-based application model is built based on relational database application model, which achieved the object-oriented application of large scale relational database. By choosing a geological object, users will be able to get both structural and non-structural data about this object. We aimed at building a platform, which can effectively display and provide data and information for oil production managing stuff and oil development technicians from multi-angle and multi-aspect. Using this system, users will be able to do category search of the primary discrete data in the oil-development database and do multi-form relational search too. Upon acquiring a large quantity of primary data, users will be able to do calculation with these data and also generate relevant forms, curves and charts. Besides, non-structural information (figures, ppt.) and text data are also tied to the searching result.
