With the development of network technology and popularity ofnetwork, networked teaching has become more fashionable. Now, with theimprovement of the people’s living quality and the requirement of thelifetime education, people give higher requirement to education on space,time and the mode of obtaining knowledge, which will certainly promotethe further development of the distance education. The modern distanceeducation is a wonderful combination of traditional education and moderncommunication technology.A survey and review of the current development of distance educationhome and abroad are conducted in this paper. The advantages anddisadvantages of distance education are discussed and questioned. In thisdissertation, we have proposed and realized an education resolution basedon the B/S structure. The author produced the frame work of software andhardware system and relevant supplementary teaching system whichconcerns the distance education and is totally different from the presentarchitecture, besides, the major function modal is expounded also. The method of modularization is used in the paper. In terms of the distinctionof all the modularization, the platform is divided into two parts: trunksystem and sustaining system. While designing the trunk system of theplatform, we have realized 5 main educational functions: networkclassroom, living broadcast classroom, courseware on demand,intellectualized exam and score management. A real-time and interactiveteaching mode based on the combination of text intercommunion andliving broadcast has been proposed. Some auxiliary functions of thedistance education, such as online homework, BBS system, resourcesdownload and so on, are realized. A new homework mode, through whichteachers can assign and read over homework and students can do themonline, is put forward. The dissertation also has realized the developmentof the basic function of mobile learning based on SMS, with theinformation issue, information inquiry and mobile dictionary as the maincontent. A new application of SMS based on the transmit mode fromterminal to terminal is put forward and completed. In the end, the papersums up the main research work and development tasks thatⅠhaveachieved during the researching time, and puts forward the following workof the item.
