The Discussion of the Writing Performance Assessment in Vocational Schools

The performance assessment in the modern education theory is a new problem, because it is adaptive to modern education concept, which has attracted wide attention. This thesis firstly elaborates the concept and development process of performance assessment, also the reason of the usage for academic assessment, then simply introduces the types and characteristics of performance assessment, also three elements: assessment target, assessment task and assessment tools. Then the thesis investigates and analyzes the current situation of assessment on writing in vocational schools, comments the drawbacks of traditional composition assessment and the advantages of performance assessment. According to the theory and actual demand, the thesis elaborates the feasibility and necessity of writing performance assessment in vocational schools in detail, and comments the expected results. Finally the thesis introduces the implementation process of performance assessment , analyzes the specific design and assessment of it through the research , as well as the problems and countermeasures, and elaborates the security of effective implementation of performance assessment from the teachers, students and other aspects.
