Research on Optimum Instruction of classical Chinese

Recent years, generally speaking, we chinese teachers have not achieved ideal effect in classical chinese teaching in High Middle School . One of the most important reasons is that our cognitive system of classical chinese teaching, which is fundamental in knowing the essence of classical chinese has gone wrong .With reflection on the present situation and long-term teaching practice, this paper presents a kind of new three-dimensional system of classical chinese teaching, namely, linguistic cognition, literary apprecation and cultural identity. In other words, during the process of classical chinese teaching, with gradual accomplishment of three purposes of cognition, appreciation as well as culture, the quality of senior high school students in classical chinese learning has been shaped and formed. Accordingly we can draw a definte conclusion that any practice of seperating three aspects of classical chinese teaching will be sure to give rise to partial and one-sided understanding of classical chinese teaching in senior high schools. Therefore, the functional optimization of three aspects --“literacy of language”,“appreciation of literature”and“identity of culture”, work together to bulid the three-dimensional dynamic process of optimum instruction of classical chinese.Considering that, this paper intends to breakthrough traditional language teaching, provoke the students’interest of classical chinese learning, which is to build the fundation of optimization of classical chinese, and construct the language classroom based on“learning activities”. It also emphasizes the function of“singing and chanting”, which helps readers to catch the characteristics and true spirit of the classical chinese articles. And through free reading , critical reading and appreciated reading, the students can certainly feel the real flavor and charm of classical chinese. So in the process of classical chinese teaching .we chinese teachers ,on the basis of singing and chanting , should try to probe into the deep meanings and inner spirit of works. Simulteanously we must attach more importance to special feeling and experience of students, sowing the seeds of beauty in their hearts, which is easy to help students to build up the awareness of traditional culture and experience the happiness of self-construction and self-realization when they are immersed in this kind of culture. This is where the essence of this paper lies. And it is also considered ultimate purpose of this dissertation.
