With the gradual deepening of China’s higher education enrollment, school students has been increasing the size to 2008, the size of in-school students has come to 19 million people. Such a rapid growth rate, making the pace of development of my higher education has lagged far behind the development of student numbers, especially in the teaching staff and management level, coupled with traditional teaching methods and management thinking, making development of higher education, various conflicts very prominent. Therefore, the use of advanced technology and scientific management methods to adapt to China’s current higher education is an important means of management. With the computer and network information technology maturity and popularity, for popular education in colleges and universities to implement a information management system to replace the traditional management approach has become China’s higher education the key to the implementation of personnel training, but also the smooth development of higher education in the basic condition. Strengthen the campus information technology is an important aspect of development of higher education, so in popular education stage Web-based student information management system for environmental research and development can greatly improve the management efficiency, reduce management costs, with a very real value. From a practical application and economic practicality considerations, the application of Internet technology-based network information management system is the information age to modernize the management of institutions of higher learning is an important task and direction of development. Applications based on Internet technology for network information management platform aims to explore an Internet-supported by modern information management. With this new, modern information management model for the school to create a new management environment that enables management of breakthrough time and space constraints, improve work efficiency and management level, lower management costs, the system allows different users and administrators may be at different times in different locations via the Internet to manage and exchange. This article mainly discusses on B/S architecture, network programming using ASP technology and SQL-Server database development Leadtek design and development of student information management system. This article first information management system of the domestic situation and development trends are analyzed, followed by the pairs of C / S architecture and B/S architecture, a comparative analysis, decided to adopt a B/S architecture, and then use SQL-Server database system as a the system development platform. System development starting from requirements analysis, through to students of information management capabilities in design and functionality of each module design, the database connection with the background to complete the system login, user management, student information management, the specific design and implementation. In the system security design, the first is to rely on B/S architecture inherent security, followed by is IIS for security management settings, is again in the database user information is encrypted to achieve security controls.Practice has proved that development based on the B/S structure of Student Information Management System Design and Implementation of a very practical application value and practical significance.
