Software Radio (SR) aims to place the wideband ADC and DAC close to the antenna and use software to realize all the functions of radio based on an opening, universal and modular hardware platform. The Integration of electronic reconnaissance and direction finding conducted by shortwave radio calls for a high real-time level and has a large amount of data processing and many varied parameters, so a kind of highly efficient and flexible receiver must be researched and developed so as to satisfy the demand of changes of reconnaissance’s environment. Digital channelized conspicuously reduce the complexity and improve the capacity of real-time signal processing in the case of total probability of wideband intercept and capture.Combined with a specific research project, the thesis conducts a systematic study of channelization processing of channelized receiver based on polyphase filters. The main content is introduced as follows:First of all, the emphasis is laid on analyzing and Introducing the basic theory of Digital Down Converter (DDC) and polyphase filters, and analyzing the evolution of polyphase filters. And realization of channelization processing is based on these theories.According to the project’s requirement, the thesis analyzes the hardware of polyphase channelization, puts forward the solution to technological difficulties, establishes a systematic framework of Low-pass filter and polyphase filters realizing. Based on the features of selected hardware platform, the thesis designs each function block of the framework on FPGA.Finally, the thesis summarizes the realization of channelization processing based on polyphase filters on FPGA, and points out the aspects of the design the needs to be improved.
