With the development of communication technology, social progress, people want more communication server. Considered that 2G technologies can not afford that,3G technology was born. In the three major technologies of 3G technology. WCDMA is recognized as the most widely used, matures wireless access technology, and the industry chain of which is most consummate.With the further commercial use of WCDMA technology, in order to guarantee the frequency efficiency and validity of all the equipments, and to keep the independent normally working of each equipment and the development of various new technology and services, the consistency test of WCDMA terminals is important.In this paper, basic theory is introduced. Firstly, the development and structure of the automatic test system and WCDMA technology are introduced. Then the standards and test items of the automatic test platform design, the definition of test items. In the fulfillment part of this paper, the development and design of the system software is mainly introduced. By analyzing of the project requirement, the whole frame and scheme is provided, aiming at the compliance of the feature of test and requirement of the customs. The design of the main modules and the implement of the software are also introduced. The functions of each module are specific, as a result, the upgrade and maintenance of the system is easy.In face to so much device.it is so important to design a set of auto-testing system to alleviate the pressure on the shoulders of the engineers due to the consuming property of testing. This paper proposed an automatic WCDMA terminal radio consistency testing system capable of instrument operation controlling, where 3GPP34.121 protocols on performances of radio transmitters in mobile phones are applied and satisfied. After one single successful connection, the instrument testing, data collection, display and processing, as well as necessary result saving, can be conducted automatically by the software. Besides, standard report and testing results can be completed and finished according to the instrument state, so that the efficiency can be improved and human error reduced.
