With the development of motion control systems into open architecture, digitalization,networking and integration, related experiment education sets increasingly higher demandsfor experiment devices. Based on the investigation into the development status of motioncontrol experiment devices at home and abroad and depending on meeting the practicalneeds, a multifunctional portable motion control experiment system is designed in thispaper. Firstly, according to the principles of portability, open, network and visibility, thegeneral scheme of the multifunctional portable motion control experiment system isestablished. Secondly, centering on MCU of MSP430, the hardware platform of thisexperiment system is designed and made, which could carry out position, speed, currentcontrol of motor, and has functions of man-machine interaction and different kinds ofcommunication. Then, system software is designed with modular method, including MCUcontrol software and upper computer software. Each module of the whole system isdebugged.The result of debugging has reached the expectant request. Finally, the futurework is brought forward.
