The Design of Embedded Image Transmission Terminal Based on the TCP/IP Protocol

With the development of information technology and computer’s popularization, embedded system,which integrates computer technology, chip technology and software technology,has become a hot area for research and application on nowadays. Products with embedded technology roadmap to be more and more networked, intelligentized, normalized and integrated.Combined with computer technology, embedded technology and network transmission technology, and mainly attribute to the Embeded Linux and Qt, this dissertation addresses the design of an image transimission terminal with ARM according to the TCP/IP protocol. It includes the hardware design, software debug and system function’s realization.In the dissertationr, the main contents of the research are as follows:The hardware platform of this embedded system employs S3C2440(Corp. Samsung) as the processor,assiistted with the peripherial circuit to achieve the function of terminal。Ath beginning,the viewpoint lies on the choice of chips for the construction of the hardware environment accrordding to the need of function。Then, it presents the detailed design on how to link S3C2440 with different memory media,, as well as other necessary periphery departments.Furtherly,this dissertation discusses the method of embedded software platform building on the hardware platform, emphasizing on the establishment of cross-compiling environment, the environment variables configuration and the transplantation of embedded Linux kernel。With the IDE environment, the application program design is completed on the basis of the C/S structure。To check the correctness of received images, it develops a user interface based on Qt Designer, and thus to achieve the display function of a picture.Finally, during the test, the result shows that the system meets the design requirements, accomplish the goal of reciving and display images though network in the ARM local terminal。The character of this system is that the receiving terminal can regulate IP address, so as to realize the transmission modes of both "one-to-one" and "one-to-many". Namely, the host computer can either send same information to different receiving terminals or send different information to different terminals. So this design is of great practical use and flexibility.
