Analysis of BRCA2 Coding Snps in Association with Breast Cancer Prognosis
|Keywords||Breast cancer BRCA2 Polymorphism Prognosis|
Objective: To analysis the non-synonymous polymorphism of the BRCA2 gene with breast cancer prognosis.Methods: We performed study in 262 breast cancer cases to test the association between three polymorphisms and breast cancer prognosis. Genotypes were determined in DNA from blood cells by PCR–RFLP and HRM.Results: The SNP allele frequencies of Chinese population are different from those of Japanese and Caucasians, indicating there is difference between different populations. For the Asn991Asp polymorphism, Compared to the Asn/Asn genotype, the carriers of heterozygous was found to have significant longer disease free survival time. Although the same trend was noted for survival, this was not statistically significant.Conclusions: The genetic background is different in different populations. The BRCA2 Asn991Asp polymorphism is associated with prognosis of breast cancer.
