The laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy is a substance constitutes effective tool for rapid analysis of elemental composition . This method has the advantages of simple sample preparation , required less sample , can detect substances for different states has been widespread concern . Currently, the law has been widely applied to remote detection , medical and health , environmental detection . We use the nanosecond and femtosecond laser pulses , laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy study elements Changchun four locations poplar leaves . The analysis of the spectra obtained by the experiment conducted to obtain the component of each element of the poplar leaves , and thereby to compare the level of environmental pollution of the four locations . Further use of the freedom given the underlying theoretical model to calculate the content of each element of the four locations poplar leaves . Thus , the preliminary determination of the environmental quality of the four locations .
