With the development and maturation of the IP technology, more and more businesses will turn over IP networks to achieve future network based on IP Next-Generation Network (Next Generation Network, NGN) core transport network. Existing networks will be gradual integration, including the integration of IP networks and telecommunications networks has become an irresistible trend, next-generation softswitch as the core network is the future direction of development. IP networks and circuit-switched network (SCN) interoperability must face the problem, the two networks to achieve interoperability must solve one of the problems is the signaling interworking, signaling interworking function then has a gateway need to appear in the IP network and the SCN network at the junction. Based on this need, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), specially set up signaling working group (SIGTRAN) responsible for the design and development of IP transmission over the Internet SCN signaling standards. The IETF SIGTRAN protocol stack, signaling gateway (SG) and Media Gateway Controller (MGC) is used to transfer circuit-switched network (SCN) signaling protocol over IP networks by supporting both signaling interworking . In the mobile space, 3GPP ( 3 rd sup> Generation Partnership Project) in the R4 version of the signaling-based M3UA (Message Transfer Part 3 User AdaptationLayer) / SCTP (Stream Control Transmission Protocol) / IP hosted solution , ring tones of IP is up on this basis to achieve. In the mobile space or fixed in the SG and MGC M3UA have become the first choice for an adaptation layer protocol. This article discussed in the context of next generation network, the the signaling interworking CRBT IP protocol. The main contents are as follows: 1, the characteristics and structure of the next generation network analysis proposed signaling interworking, and on this basis, highlighting SIGTRAN protocol stack, the structure of the SS7 network signaling interworking and function. 2, analyzed and learn the the SIGTRAN M3UA protocol of its business functions, messages and their format is described. And introduced and the CRBT related BICC protocol. 3, M3UA message flow analysis, each functional module based on modular thinking M3UA program overall architecture. Focuses on the main part of the M3UA process timer processing, processing of ASP / AS state, primitive processing, message processing. 4, according to the requirements of RBT-IP, its related business background and signaling processes described by the M3UA, SCTP, IP BICC messages transmitted on the IP network. M3UA has played a huge role in the SCN and the IP network signaling interworking, the study has a very real sense. Its CRBT IP-based application has also proved its worth.
