In last years,Laser In Situ Keratomileusis(LASIK)has become the most popular surgical technique for correcting errors of refraction.As we know, many ametropic patients easy to obtain detachment of retina and glaucoma. To study macula and optic nerve head after LASIK is important.Suction ring was used on eyes during laser in situ keratomileusis in order to masking corneal flap successfully.Acute intraocular pressure(IOP)was increased by using suction ring on eyes.Some scholars have studied the effect of acute IOP elevation on the optic nerve and retina.They found that the constructions of macula lutea and optic nerve head were not changed necessarily after Laser In Situ Keratomileusis.. But scholars found that the alters of comea contruction have an effect on the results of some eye’s measurements.107 eyes of 55 patients were selected in our research.The rim area,disk area,cup/disk vertical ratio,the average retinal thickness of central fovea of macula,the volume of central fovea of macula and total macula volume of eyes were measured by optical coherence tomography before and 3 months after LASIK surgery.The data were analyzed by SPSS statistics software system. The purpose of our research is to study whether the constructions of macula lutea and optic nerve head were changed after situ keratomileusis(LASIK)on macula lutea and optic nerve head and evaluate its associated factors.【Objective】To study whether the constructions of macula lutea and optic nerve head were changed after situ keratomileusis(LASIK)on macula lutea and optic nerve head and evaluate its associated factors.【Methods】107 eyes of 55 patients were undergone LASIK.The rim area,disk area, cup/disk vertical ratio,the average retinal thickness of central fovea of macula,the volume of central fovea of macula and total macula volume of eyes were measured by optical coherence tomography before and 3 months after LASIK surgery.The data were analyzed by SPSS statistics software system.【Results】No statistic difference was found in the measurements before and 3 months after LASIK surgery about rim area,disk area,cup/disk vertical ratio,the average retinal thickness of central fovea of macula and the volume of central fovea of macula(P=0.720,P=0.343,P=0.249,P=0.610,P=0.471).Significant differences were found on total macula volume,corneal refractive power, pupil diameter and the IOP reading between pre-operation and post-operation. (P=0.006,P<0.001 P<0.001,P<0.001,P<0.001).There were significant correlations between total macula volume changes and the factors including the change of spherical equivalent diopter,the IOP reading drop,the reduction in corneal refractive power and the ablation corneal thickness. Total macula volume changes were not correlated with patient age and pupil diameter changes.【Conclusion】1.No significant change in the rim area,disk area,cup/disk vertical ratio,average retinal thickness of central fovea of macula,volume of central fovea of macula was demonstrated 3 months after laser in situ keratomileusis.2.Total macula volume changes measured by OCT were correlated with the change of spherical equivalent diopter,the IOP reading drop,the reduction in corneal refractive power and the ablation corneal thickness.
