Corneal Hysteresis and Corneal Resistance Factor in Pre-and Post-Phacoemulsification

Objective : To observe the the senile cataract phacoemulsification in patients before and after the first day of the cornea viscosity ( CH , corneal and Hysteresis ) , corneal resistance factor (CRF , corneal and Resistance Factor ) , corneal decompensation intraocular pressure ( IOPcc , corneal and Compensated the IOP ) , correction Goldman tonometer (IOPg, Goldmann Correlated IOP) measurement value , and to explore the clinical characteristics . Method : Application Reichert ocular response analyzer (ORA, Ocular Response Analyzer) measurement of 22 cases of senile cataract patients, 22 eyes before surgery and after the first day of the CH , CRF, IOPg , IOPcc use the Canon of non- contact tonometer ( Canon Full Auto Tonometer TX-F, Japan) measuring the NCT-IOP. In addition , 15 patients with only mild or no cataract patients as a control group , ORA measurement of CH and CRF values ??. Of CRF difference between the experimental group preoperative , postoperative variation of the measured values ??and the correlation between spss13.0 statistical software to analyze the experimental group and the control group CH . Between CH and CRF of : the experimental group and the control group , there was no statistical difference ( P = 0.704 , P = 0.188) . Experimental group after the first day of the CH , CRF than decreased (P = 0.008; P = 0.007), first postoperative day IOPcc , the IOPg compared with preoperative elevated (P lt; 0.01; P = 0.001), Statistics analysis differences were significant . Preoperative and postoperative NCT measurements revealed no significant difference ( P = 0.888 ) . Conclusion: people senile cataract patients with corneal viscosity measurement value of 10.64 ± 1.76mmHg, was normal population corneal viscosity ( 12.5 ± 1.35 mmHg compared with the Western Research Institute , 12.2 12.7mmHg ) is low , the first day after surgery cornea viscosity and corneal resistance factor compared with the preoperative decreased postoperative corneal edema and IOP rise may cause corneal viscosity and corneal resistance coefficient change . Further , cataract itself may not affect the viscosity and the corneal resistance coefficient of the cornea of the cornea .
