Biodiesel today's energy development and utilization trends , the rise of the biodiesel industry glycerol large excess of glycerol reuse become a hot research topic in the scientific community , including preparation of glycerol catalytic hydrogenolysis propylene glycol has been widespread concern , not only to achieve a the high value of glycerol utilization , but also improve the economic cycle of the biodiesel industry . This article by Cu / Cr catalyst preparation process of six major factors investigated , i.e. the molar ratio of Cu / Cr , precipitated from the solution pH, aging temperature and aging time and the calcination temperature and calcination time , using XRD, FT-IR, TG- DTA, BET and other characterization methods to examine these factors affect the performance of copper chromium catalysts , the results show that the main active substance of Cu / Cr catalyst CuCr 2 O 4 and CuO, Cu / Cr molar ratio 0.5, the solution of pH value 5 5 < / SUP > .5 40 5 < / SUP > 0 ° C aging temperature the aging time 4 < / sup> h, calcination temperature of 300 ° C , the roasting time 4 < / sup> h prepared catalyst performance the best , propylene glycol yield reached more than 36% . This article through the reaction parameters of glycerol hydrogen Solutions reactions affect the study results showed that , in the reaction temperature 200 2 10 ° C , the hydrogen pressure 2 2 < / sup> .5 MPa , 8% of the amount of catalyst < sup> 1 0% (Wt%), under the conditions of the reaction time 24h glycerol hydrogen decomposition reaction , the highest yield of propylene glycol , 46.08% ; study also found that glycerol water content of 10 % , propanediol highest selectivity reached 70.96% . This article through to the Cu / Cr catalyst doped third metal element to be modified , the Cu / Cr catalyst , the following conclusions , Mn , Ba, the addition can further improve the selectivity of propylene glycol in the doped metal element , after a certain extent enhance the catalytic effect of the catalyst decomposition reaction of glycerol hydrogen ; doped metal Mn , Cu / Cr molar ratio 0.5 , MnO content of 3% , the catalytic activity of the catalyst is preferably ; doping metal BA , Cu / Cr molar ratio of 0.25 , the BaO content at 10% 1 < / sup > 2% , the catalytic effect of the catalyst is preferably , propylene glycol, the highest selectivity .
