The Research on Employees’ Job Burnout in State-owned Commercial Banks

As social economy develops and competitions between banks are heating up,job burnout bothering bank staff is becoming more and more serious, which has greatly influences their physical and mental health and lowers their performance as well as the performance of the organizations ,therefore ,effective intervention measures must be carried out to deal with job burnout without delay. Keeping abreast and reducing staff job burnout, as well as enhancing their job engagement is an emergent problem to be dealt with by banks.This paper basically launches according to the summerarization of some relative theories, present state of job burnout and an analysis of its causing ,and how to interfere in job burnout. After discussion on theory ,questionnaire surveys were undertaken on all staff of A sub-branch, and then a causal analysis was made to look for countermeasures to alleviate employees’job burnout;as a result, the personal and organizational performance will be improved with the increasing job engagement.This research takes A sub-branch of Suzhou ICBC for instance, and employs the Maslach Burnout Inventory(MBI)---revision of its general version and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale(UWES)developed by Schaufeli et al to do the questionnaire surveys. Result: 128 questionnaires were sent out and 123 questionnaires were retrieved including 113 valid questionnaires. The ratio of callback questionnaire is 96.09% . After a series of researcher and analysis, this paper finally put forward the effective measures to interfere employees’job burnout of A sub-branch of Suzhou ICBC. In addition to the universal measures ,including staffer should strengthen their own management and the organization should create conditions to relieve staff job burnout, sub-branch should make corresponding measures including showing deeply concern for female staff ,young staff and counter staff, attaching great importance to staff holding advanced academic degrees ,raising the working enthusiasm of professional staff and paying close attention to the job burnout of administrative personnel.
