In order to find safer and more effective new antiepileptic drugs , the paper 2,4 - dichloro- quinazoline as raw material, designed and synthesized a series of 5 - oxyl tetrazole and [1,5-a] quinazoline compounds and maximum electric convulsion test in mice (MES) initially measured their anticonvulsant activity . Most of the test compound was injected in the peritoneal cavity after exhibit weak anticonvulsant activity . Taking into account the complications of depression is often epilepsy , studies show that epilepsy and depression may have a common pathogenesis and clinical already on some medicines for the treatment of both diseases . To this end , we have conducted a series of compounds in this determination of antidepressant activity , the forced swimming test in mice (FST) was evaluated , the results show that most of the compounds have more significant antidepressant activity , 5 - hexyloxy four triazolo [1,5-a] quinazoline and 4 - methoxy -phenyl -tetrazole and [1,5-a] quinazoline 100mg/kg intraperitoneal injection of a dose of the test substance showed better the antidepressant activity , they shortened the immobility time swimming mice were 62.2% and 51.7% .
