Comparative Studies on Differentiation and Treatment Rules of Phlegmatic Retention and Fluid Retention Based on Data Mining

Objective:To probes into the comparative studies on differentiation and treatment rules of phlegmatic retention and fluid retention based on data mining technologies.Methods:First collect 3100 pieces of clinical papers about phlegmatic retention and fluid retention. Set up a database. Then, adopt correct data mining methods to dig out interesting and valuable knowledge of phlegmatic retention and fluid retention.Results:1. Phlegmatic retention and fluid retention could cause lots of diseases;2. The data mining results include:①The four diagnostics of phlegmatic retention and fluid retention have common and different characteristics. Cluster Analysis form 18 intresting combination rules. Decision Tree Classification fined that if the texture of the sputum was not thin, it was more likely to be caused by phlegmatic retention;②Phlegmatic retention usually cause more and wider range of diseases. Phlegmatic retention and fluid retention could cause different disesease;③Phlegmatic retention and fluid retention are closed related to stasis and Qi stagnatron.And they have the same deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality syndrome. Phlegmatic retention usually cause heat syndrome, exogenous and endogenous wind; fluid retention usually cause cold syndrome and exogenous wind.④Dysfunction of five zang-organs could generate phlegmatic retention and fluid retention, however, fluid retention is closer to spleen,kidney and lung.⑤Er Chen Tang is commonly used to treat phlegmatic retention, and Ling Gui Zhu Gan Tang is usually used to treat fluid retention. Meanwhile, meridian oriented effect; medicinal property and ingredient of phlegmatic retention and fluid retention have common and different characteristics. Conclusion:The results show that date mining for comparative studies of phlegmatic retention and fluid retention could find some valuable rules and information. There are identical and different relationships between phlegmatic retention and fluid retention. In the course of differentiation and treatment, these two aspects are very important.
