With the development of Internet, IT has penetrated in human lives, especially education. The deep effects of IT are imposed on the pattern of teaching, methodology concerning English. In addition, traditional method and ideas of teaching do not match the need of new era, and many new methods come forth, such as behaviorism theory, learning theory, and humanism theory, constructivism theory, and post-modernism etc. However, the theories alone do not explain the a lot of phenomena derived from IT.Behaviorism theory, learning theory, and humanism theory, constructivism theory has their own blemish which display to the significance of a new theory, i.e. Post-modernism.Behaviorism theory of education emphasizes "stimulating-reaction", in which the learners are passive, only to receive stimulating from the background. Though learning theory copes with triumphantly the active learning, it unilaterally emphasizes the repetitious practices, and neglecting the students’ emotion as well as background. Post-modernism appears in the 1960s, and associates with IT. The radiations of it scatter very corner. Post-modernism is consistent with IT to some degree.Because the theories are numerous and jumbled, the integration with practices is relatively narrow. To avoid talking in generalities, the dissertation researches comparatively how to guide students and the relationship of students and teachers, eventually drawing a conclusion.
